My sons and I plan to hike into Granddaddy lakes in two weeks. Can anyone recommend a good day hike from there or anything interesting to see in that area?

No there's nothing interesting to see up that way at all!

Actually something that might be worthwhile is looking up a lake or two that has grayling in it. They're beautiful fish and fun to catch and you can't find them too many places.

You could also look for the lost Rhoades mine. It's rumored, or one of them anyway, is rumored to be in the area.

Nice area... of course. There are several lakes in that area that 1 mile or less apart. It's really a scenic area but I think most people are out there to fish. One thing to keep in mind that most lakes in that area have a camp fire restriction around them.

I've been out to Betsy Lake and it was very nice:

I have camped at Betsy Lake many times in my younger years. Very nice lake.
