Hey, that's my neck of the woods! I've seen a lot of bears while hiking, but only once that close (took us both by surprise!)

Read the first comment on the video - Lee's a big back country skier, mountain biker and hiker around here, and he's absolutely correct. These guys are doing that bear no favours. Cool video, but they would have been better off making a lot of noise, and startling the crap out of the bear. Very poor judgement.

We're hearing so much of this now days. For some reason it's running into a mountain lion while out biking that concerns me some?

Thanks for that video on what you can run into out in the not-so far removed wilderness. On what to do in that situation, here's a state government safety bulletin on the do's and dont's when out and about in bear country.
