Our Sunday group for Birch comprised of myself, my husband John, my son Michael, his girlfriend Maria, my daughter Julia, our new found friend Bill aka thedesertnomad, and Tom.
While John and Bill spotted the truck down at the lower parking area of Orderville, Tom spent the time talking to me and the kids. He wanted to know what the kids wanted to learn and he help them realize that there are things that they needed to learn.
Once the truck was spotted, we travelled to the trailhead and began our hike to the top of Birch. The weather was great and soon, we were at the scree slope that dropped into Birch.
The pictures that I'm posting are from John's camera. Julia had a camera as well, but I do not know how or when I will be able to post her pictures.
After reading the trip reports of Friday and Saturday with Tom - I can tell you that Tom was just as awesome on Sunday!!!! He worked his magic on not only the kids, but on myself as well. I learned so much - and I learned even more as I watched him, not only reach the kids, but thoroughly engage the kids in a way that I have not seen before.
Bill, it was a pleasure to spend the day with you - even though you got me trouble. :lol8:
