Has anybody been through white roost or larry canyon lately? I'm wondering how the water conditions are. From what I remember there aren't very many places in either canyon that can get a pool of water. Is that right?
Thanks
No reply? Then I will. For Larry only. Expect White to be about the same.

My brother and I did Larry Canyon on June 6. We really enjoyed the canyon, but
found it to be pretty physical for aging newbies like us, and it took much
longer than expected (11 hours with no car shuttle). For the first time (and
thankfully), we wore knee pads in the slot, which no doubt saved a lot of skin
and blood. There were about a dozen pools of water up to thigh deep and lots of
mud. Fortunately, the weather was cool, making the climb out of the canyon
relatively pleasant.
When we arrived at the second rappel anchor (not counting the optional rappel at
the head of the canyon), we found a rope already rigged for the rappel. We were
surprised to find the rope there, as it was in excellent condition and pulled
easily from below.

The story of the rope came out later and was an interesting read.

Thanks for the reply.
I went through Larry last year; it is pretty physical but that's what made it so fun. I was just curious about the water conditions.
Cool story. Cool and Scary!
