I use a lens hood or even hold up my hand at times

cheap polarizers can introduce more lens flare because of the multiple close reflective surfaces. hoods and shades work best, or a hand, like summit suggested.

or, buy nicer lenses and filters... it's a tough gig. or don't shoot into the sun.

or don't shoot into the sun.

I was telling the T. vultures to stay out of the sun but they were un cooperative. I was following them and clicking as fast as I could hoping for an epic Zion shot. didn't happen.

yea...........I was picking my lense, setting up the tri-pod, lining up great cliffs in the background, and the rotten sob's, depite my insistence to the contrary, flew right into the sun. You guys never told me the subject's move............. :ne_nau:
