I hear access has been restored.

A trip I have been wanting to do from Dickinson Park is the Bears Ears Trail, Lizard Head Trail and return via North fork Trail or vica versa.

Any beta, advice or input on the road access and/or the trails would be appreciated.

Ha! We'd planned to start at Dickinson a few years ago and head up over the Bears Ears to Grave Lake. The road ended up getting closed and our plans got thrown out in a big way. (GRR- I'm still looking for my first Golden)

Something needs to be done about that road, but since it crosses indian land, nothing will. Putting another road in won't happen either because of the tree-huggers.

I know that the campground is still closed - but the road may be open. The last I heard it was a $55 toll road - you have to buy a $25 Reservation fishing permit for each day on the road or backpacking on reservation lands and a $5 habitat permit. I would call the Forest service to make sure that it still is that way for this year.

Thanks guys. I will be calling the Shoshone Forest Service in Lander in July for up-to-date beta. Going up there the 1st week of August. Plus I will have a plan B in mind.

Tentative: Tayo Lk, Wind River Pk, Texas Pass, Pyramid Lk, Bonneville Lk, Middle Fork Lk, Glacier Lk, Dennis Lk, Alpine Lk, Indian Pass, Fremont Pk, Titcomb Lk, Bonney Pass, Gannett Crk, Baker Lk, Bear Lk, Faler Lk, Green River Lk.

Anybody have any comments on this path?
It it is snowpack and weather dependent. A lot of cross country as well. Should find some Goldens I hope.

Have space for any other crazy people!
