This guy(?) was saved from the lawnmower last Summer.... The LT thought he was fascinating....

No, it isn't photoshopped or altered in any way. It was taken with a simple point and shoot digital.

It is the Yareta (Llareta) plant that grows high in the Andes Mountains (this particular photo above was taken at over 17,000 feet) of Peru. Here is another photo I took of the plants:
