Umm hasn't this been know for a couple years. Or is the news media finally getting around to it. It has been that way on the Natural Arch society website after they measured Landscape, Kolob, & Aloba Arch.

State is home to six of the 10 longest.

It had seven until we found the one in Dinosaur NM. Take that Utah. :bootyshake: Just kidding.

Rumors that a great arch in China could put southern Utah's natural wonders in the shade have fallen to a real-world truth: Utah rules!

Actually the Natural Arch and Bridge Society makes no such claim that the arch in China is not one of the world's largest so the above quote is not entirely accurate. The arch in China (Tushuk Tash or Shiptons Arch) may very well be in the top 10, but no one has measured it yet and NABS says that it is the most likely candidate.

It is possible that it might be in the top 10, but it might be not be as well.

:haha:

Ever notice how the right side of Utah sort of bends in near the top.
Perhaps its to square it up and get #7 back.

Looks like NABS just updated the arch list including the ones in China:

http://www.naturalarches.org/big9.htm

China really did have some big ones (other than Shiptons). At least four of the big ones are in China, but the lengths seem to be approximate for now. China may even have the largest of them all, edging out Landscape Arch.

Interestingly, Utah still has 6 out of the 10 since none of Utah's were bumped down the top 10 list-yet. Wrather Arch just in Arizona was bumped completely, due to new measurements.
