Get the dam forum fixed before you start messing with Big Shots!

The forum is completely unusable about 10% of the time. And slow as snot about 50% of the time.

Fix the broken shit before you start trying to make "improvements".

Just a thought....

Uhhh, reality check amigo. It costs money to run a site like this. I don't have a pot full of money laying around from bogley profits and I have dipped into my own pockets for nearly 5 years.

The server issues are being worked on. If you have a spare weekend to help me move the site to another server PM me and we'll arrange it. :cool2:

I had the same thought.
For 3 days now for me atleast bogley has been so slow I can barely stand to visit the site. Time of day seems to have no impact. Id much rather that the problems are fixed rather than roll out a new present.
However, Id also say who ever pays the bills get to make the choice

Are you running a private server or a web based server. I like the idea of having a pay for membership section. If the fuds go into maintaining the site it us all worth it. It sucks to have to dip into your own pocket to maintain what has become a very enjoyable public site. How much were you thinking for a membership?

Here's the misconception again, we will probably never make a profit here. Not even by selling shirts. It's always been out of pocket for us.

The BigShots is one way that will help us move to a dedicated server costing @ $150 per month..... And we really don't anticipate BigShots covering all of these costs.

We're continuing to investigate the problems - every day. Even YouTube has scheduled maintenance once a week. (but they're paid) Youtube gives me problems 50% of the time when I'm uploading videos. But hey, I'm a free user, I can't complain too much.

Becoming a BigShots member does not, and never will guarantee a perfectly running site/server. It's just a way that some can show their support. Some have asked for donation drives and such, but BigShots can at least give some additional reward.

But.... BigShot members do have a better chance of their getting their requests fulfilled. Priorities, I guess.

Yeah, that's what screwed up our Dev server. :roflol: We tried it, and it failed, sorry. We're still dealing with the havoc it wreaked on our Dev server to this day. It was actually a pretty big mod. And then you add it to a much modified template already, it got pretty complicated. We gave up after about a week of working on it, many late nights.

The truth is, I've been on other forums that have this, and it still doesn't work. People will ignore somebody, but secretly un-ignore them just to make sure they aren't trashing them too much.

It's not worth our time to be honest.

I think your host is the biggest problem. the website runs fast and smooth for the most part. I think your web host is just playing around trying to fix this or that on there servers.
