Does anybody know about the condition in escalante canyons now?
It's been raining a lot recently and I am wondering if those canyons are full of water...
there's a trip this weekend to go there, but I am thinking quitting because of the weather condition, and think it's probably not a good time to go down there now...
suggestion?

go. everywhere has been bone dry this season. i was out in cedar mesa and north wash the last 8 days. it rained a lot, but none of the canyons flushed or filled significantly.
besides, fresh water makes it more fun. what's the problem? what canyons are you planning?

most recent i heard was that everything in escalante is very very dry. but that was before this storm that came through two nights ago, as recent as sunday it was still dry.
even if this last storm dropped some, i can't imagine it being a problem. spooky rarely holds water. e-3 frequently holds water in the last pool, but you can just skip that part if you are really worried.
not familiar with davis.

go. go. go. if you always wait for a good forcast you will always miss it. if you go and the weather turns right you will be there ready to take advantage of it..

We were in Spooky, Peek-a-Boo, Zebra and Tunnel two weeks ago and there was no water, just very little mud in the shady parts.
