Dear President Obama,
Thank you for helping my neighbors with their mortgage payments. You know, the one's down the street who in the good times refinanced their house several times and bought SUV's, ATV's, RV's, a pool, a big screen, two Wave Runners and a Harley. But I was wondering, since I am paying my mortgage and theirs, could you arrange for me to borrow the Harley now and then?
P.S. They also need help with their credit cards, when do you want me to start making those payments?

Dear President Obama,
Patriotic retirement:
There's about 40 million people over 50 years old....... in the work force - pay them $1 million apiece severance with the following stipulations.
1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - UNEMPLOYMENT FIXED
2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - AUTO INDUSTRY FIXED.
3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - HOUSING CRISIS FIXED.
You are bailing out the wrong people!

Only problem with that is it would leave an extra $40 Trillion in govt. deficit. I don't know about you, but I ain't footin THAT bill.

I'm not following you... :ne_nau:
It could be done with 40 million.... in other words... for about what AIG paid out in bonuses... give or take a few million...
about what AIG paid out in bonuses
That's nothing, that's the funny thing. Just using this as a focal point to get people all worked up against something other than our elected officials. That's just a drop in the bucket compared to the spending our elected are doing. And, they knew all about the AIG bonuses. Come on, the Pro-Union protectors don't know what contracts are :roflol: :roflol: :roflol: They just keep up the lies

No. Check your math. Forty million X a million isn't 40 million. :lol8:

40 million x 1 = 40 million so if we give each of them 1 dollar its 40 mil, give them each 1 million... 40 000 000 x 1 000 000 = 4.0

Don't confuse Congress with the math.
just get it on the house floor and it will pass.
They never read the damn things anyway.

a decimal that needed to be moved SIX spaces to the right of the one!
Honestly? nothing occurred to me either till I saw check your math, then I started thinking "check your math? 1 times 40 mil is 40 mil......oh yeah"
I never was good at math, never did work in my head, I can do it, but I need a pen and paper and it takes me while to get an answer :D
