Music Canyon, Muddy Creek

I have had music canyon in the crosshairs for a while now. Will coming out the Chut of Muddy creek be too cold and running to strong from run off right now? When is the ideal time to do that?

I'm not a Swell expert but I don't think the heavy run off happens until later in May. Don, Josh, and I were down there last year in April and the runoff hadn't started yet.
