How would you pronounce this child's name?

Leah?? NO
Lee - A?? NO
Lay - a?? NO
Lei?? Guess Again.

This child attends a school in Livingston Parish, LA. Her mother is irate because everyone is getting her name wrong.

It's pronounced "Ledasha", When the Mother was asked about the pronunciation of the name, she said, "the dash don't be silent."

SO, if you see something come across your desk like this please remember to pronounce the dash. Eff'n they ax yo' whuffo', tell dem the dash don't be silent.

Snoopes better check out.... Northern Arizona University... I've been following this on anther forum and there is a chick there with the name... spelled with the dash...

or so the story goes.....

Well, my name is actually spelled K-e-n-t but the dashes is be silent.

If you didn't grab your kids name from the back of a shampoo bottle, this wouldn't be an issue :haha:
