Where is the best place to party in Utah.... time to share....

I love Liquid Joe's on Thrusday night. They have a band called Metal God's that is awesome. They play all the best metal from the 80's.
http://www.liquidjoes.net

If you go it's good to know the place is nearly empty at 9:00 pm and is usually packed wall-to-wall by 10:00 pm with a line waiting to get in snaking around the building. In other words.... get there a little after 9 or you might not get in on busy nights.

Now... anyone else have a good spot and night to go?

Love Metal God's

There is a band that plays eighties music at Liquid Joe's I think on Saturdays they are good too.

Anytime Royal Bliss plays I like going.

As for places other then Liquid Joe's... anytime the Meet In group does a pub crawl that is fun!! They are planning an Urban Iditarod March 14th. I can't go cuz I will be in Brianhead. It will be a riot!

I haven't been to Brewvies yet but that sounds like fun too.

The nightlife here consists of the White Trash bar and the Tree Hugger bar for maybe five nights during the summer. Without the students there's not a lot of bands playing and I usually have to ride my bike home if I stay out that late. There's no cab service here, none of the friends I hang with on such nights ever stay sober enough to give me a lift, and six miles is a helluva long walk home.

I can crash on their couch but that sure complicates getting to work the next morning as showing up in yesterday's clothes after having slept in them doesn't exactly exude professionalism. :lol8:

I got to hang out at LiquidJoe's with Abirken, Blueeyes and Beech :2thumbs: Fun, fun, fun. Had to ride my bike there the next morning to get my car, not so much fun, heh. Just kidding, that was fun too!

I hang out at The Puck on Decker Lane sometimes - nice sports bar.

Been there, done that....

Brewvies is certainly a place to try out.... but it's not a raging party or anything... you can edrink beer, eat, and drink more beer while watching a movie, which is the major appeal. Also not a bunch of young kids in the place.

X2 I used to work out in that area and we used to hang there after work and guzzle down major beer.

Got to hang with the Olympic hockey players during the Olympics too.

What I'm really looking for is.... where is the party and what night???

When I was in my 20's I could tell you the best clubs in SLC and which nights to go... now I'm old and senile the only sure thing I know of any more is Liquid Joes on Thrusday...

Who has the best live rock bands?

It the good old days there used to always be 3 or 4 rock bars with live bands. Heck, Reggies Rock-N-R had live metal bands on the front stage and strippers on the back stage and was packed Thrusday and Friday night.....

Saturday it was the Main Event... they had male strippers for the ladies only from 7 until 9. Then at 9 they let the guys in... they had a $10 cover and beer was free once you were through the front door..... in terms of picking up women it was like shooting fish in a barrel.... live rock-n-roll on stage. That place was packed on Saturday.....

So com'on.... help a brotha out... if the hot young wife and I want to tear it up where do we go????

:naughty:

My local LDS ward has mens basketball on Tuesday and Thurdays. You can definitely come with me. I wont even try to convert you! Not the time to come if you want to be converted though. They pretty much hate each other while on the court :haha:

Am I doing it wrong?

Ward ball is a blast.... bruttal... but fun. :2thumbs:

Only problem with Ward ball is they all go out for ice cream afterwards and not a beer.

Now I feel like an outcast, I have never been invited to go out for icecream

But you are really invited anytime. Just don't expect ice cream after. :haha:

Looks like fun. Count me in. The 4th is on a Saturday this year and the gal I've been gettin out with was born on the 4th. I'll be having a big MS Bike Tour BBQ the weekend prior to that one. Care to come up and ride with us?

I had my nose broken playin ward ball 30 years ago. Not a mean nasty ugly crooked break but broken is broken and did it ever bleed. Mountain biking is safe compared to ward ball.

Club 90 is a blast. The crowd is more of the over 35 bunch and the music is good. There is lots of dancing which is what I like, but there are also pool tables and food by a fire.

Ok......just teasing. However, it was quite the adjustment when I first moved here from New Orleans. Places requiring memberships, closing by 2 am....... :eek2: Not even one decent transvestite bar. :lol8:
