West of Allan Ranch Road, just south of 12Mile Pass. Both photos looking to the East toward Utah Lake (from about 20 miles away). I got to the highest peak out in that area.
Utah lake last Tuesday ... yeah I go down there a few days a week with the kids to shoot the sunset and toss rocks into the water. It sure beats sitting at home watching sponge bob.

The last image was 69seconds, we wore dark clothing and moved around so we were never really captured by the camera.
Or maybe they were just magic light sticks.
In this image I held still while moving my toy and my wife "painted" me with a flashlight for one second while I stood in each spot.

This was already posted on another topic, but I really liked this picture! For those that haven't seen; this picture was taken last weekend at the end of a hike up the West Rim. It was a pretty "chilly" day, but I have a habit of running to any pools of water at the end of the hike and taking a refreshing dip! Before we got to the bridge that crosses to the Grotto, I decided to split off from our group and ran down the bank toward the river. I was going to find a somewhat hidden spot, strip down and take a quick dip. As soon as I arrived at the river, I turned around and the 2 gals that were part of our group were standing right next to me! Seems that they were curious as to what I was up to, so I explained. Well.......the clothes stayed on. but I was able to persuade them to take a dip with me! I'm not too sure they thought I was playing with a full deck, because as soon as they got out this was their expressions. The water was maybe 40 or so degrees! Just enough to wake you up and make you want to jog back up to the top of Angels Landing!

I think both of these "game" gals have a place at Desert Rat! They both exude a great amount of joy in whatever the moment may offer. That I like. It pours over into whatever they do. Hey JP, did you take this photo? THis one gets me each time. We should throw it in the image bar.
I walk on water :roflol: Is that what you're talking about  No, I was on one of those "Muddin' Trucks". The one I was on was cut up and it had a platform with seats and a railing out back. I just leaned against the railing and snapped away, so I was out in the mud, but nice and dry.
These two were out riding around with their favorite beverages and he hit a bit of a mound under the water, went to climb it and she started falling. She never really got a grip on him, due to trying to save that beverage and fell off. Just before she went off, she dumped it on him to get back at him :haha:
I burned all the pics from the mud events so far, so they're off my laptop. 43 seconds in is the truck I was on, minus all the people :haha: I put two vids up in the off road section and if you need pics, I can get them for ya.

I had a good time snapping away and I'm sure I'll be headed out to a few more before I head back north.

The only one that never bitches, never cares if I stink, Only wants to be with me.
Took this about 9 am this morning in Settlement canyon out in tooele, BTW... About this time of year the road is open to walking and maybe even mountain bikes, but closed to cars in Middle canyon in Tooele.
You may have to deal with a few 4 wheelers on it, but even those are not bad, Iv walked for 3 hours on it once last spring and never saw anyone or anything outside of deer and my dog.
Hit main street in Tooele, Follow it to vine, make a left (East), follow it to a locked gate past the moose lodge and golf course. No cars, paved road, nice side track trips all the way up.
I think its about memorial day week end they open that road, but my memory is crap so it might be earlier, but for atleast a few weeks, no traffic and a great place to walk or ride a bike.
I will try to get over there for my morning walk with the dog tomorrow morning and post its condition in case anyone cares to head up there, and because I like walking there in the spring before it gets open to traffic and trash thrown every where and empty beer bottles and cans can be seen more than deer or elk or squirrels.

The sun rising on Tuesday morning, taken at work. I like the shadows of the mountain peaks rising into the morning mist. Some patches of shallow ground fog linger on the airfield.

you could get a bike rather far in middle canyon as of this afternoon.
This time I waited for school to get out and took the dog as well as my youngest son.

You could drive to where we walked, but since that gates not opened up to cars as of yet...we walked. 2 more weeks we can drive there, start a hike form there instead of walking in 3 miles to get started.
While lots of pics were taken on that walk yesterday, this is the one I liked the most.
