I thought I would have to give out hints at the end of the month for this one. Apparently Moab Mark knows the Moab area like the back of his hand!

What tipped you off - out of curiosity. That is one helluva remote area. I'm still shocked you got it.

Thing is...that could have been anywhere. The first pic didn't even show any section of the river itself - it could have been the Colorado OR the Green. And even if you were positive it was the Green, there aren't any distinguishing features that would give away it's location.

BTW, I shot this image several weeks ago. I wandered out to the Spring Creek area on my way out of Moab. Very remote and beautiful area.

I have spent 20 years running around the moab area in a jeep. Have seen that location many times. What iintstantly gave it away was the trail on the west side. Have always been amazed at the work that went into to mine certain areas. If you go down the spring canyon road to the bottom there is alot of big cable laying around where they had some trolley system set up across the river to bring the 0re across. It's a good road to the bottom. Keep using moab pics. :haha:
