Stefan has been so kind as to set up a little website with the mini-
slots that I have been publishing.
Here are a couple of pages which are a small preview of the finished
product.

Angel Slot:
http://www.math.utah.edu/~sfolias/minislot/?i=angelslot

Angel Cove Canyon:
http://www.math.utah.edu/~sfolias/minislot/?i=angelcove

Let it be clear that both these canyons had clear indications of
previous descent. I am not claiming first descents or anything else.
Use the beta with caution, and be advised that conditions can change.
Plenty of the anchors are in the water course and could be washed out
when you get there...
If you have questions or comments, please write to me.
Keep in mind that Stefan has put a bunch of work into compiling this
information and has written the whole thing by hand...
Thanks go out to him, big time!
Dave

You guys are both amazing! I was just spending a few minutes wandering around here and there grabbing what beta I could for my next trip, in April. Click on Bogley - and looky here, some of Dave's amazing finds... Right where I wanna be.

Thanks so much. Looking forward to more (NO PRESSURE!!!) :2thumbs:

Some pictures from Angel Slot (I went with dave on the scouting trip and for our first descent).

I would embedd them but it's too much of a pain to do at work, and I'm too busy moving to do it at home.

The website that hosts your pics is kinda goofy and hides the real link to the picture.

The picture I posted above was:

http://lh4.ggpht.com/_zIr-AqHX2yw/SaoXwsaXg7I/AAAAAAAANpY/dy5mW7iWkRk/s576/2009-02-15%2011-46-30_0162.JPG

You can tell it's a valid picture link because it ends in JPG.

To find the true link to the picture place your cursor over the pic, right click, select properties, and the "address" is it. Your can just cut (CTRL-C) and paste (CTRL-V) the addrees into Bogley or most other forums.

You can do this with any picture on the web unless the website has "hotlinking" disabled, which is kinda rare.

so are these canyons as skinny as the others down in the area?

No, not really.
There are a few spots that pinch off for a moment or two, but no sustained "skinnies".

Well- Angel Slot is about as good as any other canyon out there. Nothing technically challening. Some good rappels, a few downclimbs and some awesome, deep narrows.

good meeting you DWayne. i agree, angel is about as good as it gets for bang for the buck. we did the optional last rap as well, and i must say, it's a goodie! cool little lagoon at the junction with the main canyon as well. :2thumbs:

Thanks for your kind words.
Tons of people have been commenting and helping out, and that's much appreciated.

As you know, there was an error in the driving directions to Angel Cove Canyon. That is being corrected.

I would like to let everyone know that an internet Mini-Slot Guide is being compiled and is due out in the next few weeks. Big time THANKS goes out to Stefan on this.
That guide will contain the minislots that have been randomly published by me on various canyoneering Furums[Woody, Morocco, Piglet, etc.] plus the few more that have been explored lately and pictured on Carpey's blog[Duckett, Benign, etc.].
