A couple of years back I did a guided canyoneering adventure in Moab. I actually don't remember the guide service we went with, but as luck would have it, I remember the route we took. It was a lot like a hike through the Fiery Furnace with a couple of interesting raps thrown in for good measure. A little bit of water (at the time) and a lot of fun. Not very technically difficult, so it's a good introduction to canyoneering. It's off of Kane Creek Rd. At the risk of being forever shunned, I guess it's not prudent to just post the route in Google Earth. But.......I would like to do it again, minus the guide. I'm also curious if this route has an actual "name." I'm sure it does, but am not aware of what it is. If anybody is familiar with routes in this area and would be willing to give some advice let me know and I'll send you the GPS file from Google Earth. Or, if people tell me it's kosher, I'll post it up here.

Did you hike in off of kane creek road on a jeep trail called pritchett canyon? Then head up a slot? That slot looks familiar.

The only problem with those two new young rope guns is they never seem to carry the ropes :frustrated:

No hats?

What can I say.... I'm probably not a great role model...

Hell... I spend all most my time and money on drinking, partying and fast cars... the rest of it I just waste....

This is going to be part of the Climb-Utah.com (http://www.climb-utah.com) April updates.... but I'll give the gang at Bogley an early peek. This is one of the better Moab routes and has a lot to offer.... arches, slot canyon, Anasazi ruins, rappels, stunning beauty...
