What happens in Frankfurt stays in Frankfurt...just leave your vegetarianism back in the states that week.

I'm jealous...I'm a big fan of german food, and I'd love to sample the german cuisine right from the source.

I don't know how much time you'll actually have to travel but I went from Frankfurt to Dresden (which I believe was like a 4 hour train ride) and Dresden was my favorite part of Germany. I was there in 2001 and there was still a section of rubble left over from the firebombings. I am a huge history fan but I loved it!

Brewery tours. I think there's one brewery right next to the airport.

Wineries. Head south an hour towards Heidelberg. Towns along the Neckar such as Mosbach will offer delightful reislings for your tasting pleasure.

Old Heidelberg: stagger across the old bridge and visit the castle.
