Well, it's snowing, it's cold, and I'm sick. :ne_nau:
I was bored this afternoon so my son and I completely rebuilt my Marzocchi Shiver 200mm fork...seals and springs. I overdid it of course and now I am resting for the night

It's snowing freaking balls here!!!! and it's not letting up. Tonight I am supposed to go see a Johnny Cash cover band in Aspen......the drive is gonna suck!! But hopefully will be worth it!
Yeah, my BF was just checking out some of the CO webcams (one of his favorite things to do on the computer :haha: ), and it showed the snow that eastern CO got. Whazzup wit' dat? It has been raining here for the past several days
How was the cover band? That sounds like a lot of fun! Nothing cool like that to do here.
At this moment, I'm listening to my BF talk about the increased activity in the real estate market (something else he follows aside from webcams). I'm going to get some bread started for tonight's dinner, then do the dreaded shopping trip (see the "Walmart Bingo" thread). I lead such an exciting life I can hardly stand it! :lol8:

How was the cover band?
Speaking of cover band, I jammed for a few hours today with a band of buddies. There were 5 of us, and all 5 can play the guitar. :haha:
So I didn't even bother bringing mine over, I just took vocals, and another was also good on the drums. We just went through my laptop playing songs through the P.A. and jamming along. We'll probably start getting together once a week.
They've got a nice setup, all the equipment. :2thumbs:

Beautiful sunny weather here (though a bit cool still). The talk is that it will hit 20 degrees by Monday (that's in Rest Of The World degrees, not US Degrees.) I was supposed to work tomorrow, but managed to swap a leave day with someone else, so a day of leisure for me. :cool2:
Not back to work until Thursday - may just have to have a night in the mountains on Monday or Tuesday...

Just playing a little online scrabble right now since I am an addict. Had a great weekend considering the weather. Saw the Cash coverband on Friday and it was great Canyonphile!!! :2thumbs: Loved the June Carter character.....she was the bomb. Johnny was great as well, although he drank a little too much Jack Daniels on stage, imagine that!!!! Anyhow, I went for a long bike ride today and found 2 caches along the way, ate mexican food, road home and went to dance practice for two hours.....now here I sit. Oh and I made a KILLER chocolate cake...........oh lordy. :haha:

Well, we're sitting in the rec room at the spa by the fire playing yahtzee and checking messages. I am shagged out for sure! The wife and I both had 2 HOUR stone massages this afternoon between soaking in the hotpools and swimming in the main pool. I took silly videos with my helmet cam in the pool ....lots of people up here now. We went out for pizza for dinner and tomorrow morning I'll get up, throw a swimsuit on and walk out my front door into the pool and do some laps before having a morning soak - prebreakfast and all. Tomorrow I have another massage, a light lunch, more soaking , and a nice expensive steak at the spa restaurant......damn it's gonna be hard! :haha: :bootyshake:

As far as I know, it's a kind of life energy - it's what is channeled and harnessed by acupuncture. Something like that... And I have read it in one of the books I've read lately - maybe "Why People Believe Weird Things" by Michael Shermer - or in a blog on pseudoscience.
That was an excellent game - very close, could have gone either way. Just came down to a lucky last move!

Here's a bit of a review from Netflix:
In this unflinching documentary on the genocide in Darfur, former Marine Capt. Brian Steidle is forever transformed by the atrocities he witnesses as a military observer for the African Union. Armed only with his camera, Steidle records the killings of black Africans at the hands of Janjaweed militias funded by Sudan's Arab government. With his bleak photos, Steidle focuses attention on the horrors ignored by the rest of the world.

Welllll, here in Vancouver it's in all the liquor stores! And a mighty tasty import it is. I'd have to call it my favourite all around beer - does well in any situation. 5.5%, so not too weak, not too strong. Dark and full bodied, but not too much mouth-feel or overpowering aftertaste. It's just a great beer! Product of Wychwood Brewery (http://www.wychwood.co.uk/), England. And a place with British in its name (British Columbia) has to have it everywhere! :bootyshake:

Thanks! The trampoline is a "SpringFree" and I got it at Costco. It's the 12 foot round one (Costco sells it for $999.99). Website: http://www.springfreetrampoline.com/ A bunch of our friends have the same model. Very safe, very fun.
Took about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to set up (plus leveling time for the ground beneath.)
The music in the video was background music supplied by Studio 12 (my video editing software.) I took the photos with my Pentax Optio W60, using interval shoot set at every 12 seconds. Had to stop a couple of times (going to get topsoil, and so on.)

My "full head of hair" is no more. Last night I shaved my head leaving the hair at about 2mm and that is how it's going to stay for the rest of my life! No more attempts at trying to grow hair! It's a fruitless endavour. It's better this way, the bald spot does not contrast as much with the other parts of the head. From this day forth, I consider myself bald! :roflol:

Back at work after six days on the road with me mom and the weiner dog. We drove to Black Hills, SD to see the Crazy Horse Memorial, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park (awesome encounter with buffalos!), Badlands, Deadwood, Sturgis, Devils's Tower. Then we went to Yellowstone, still full of snow, where we saw a young grizzly (at least I think it's a grizzly), a huge elk, Old Faithful. Stopped by Jackson Hole just in time for the Memorial Day ceremony. A total of 2,175 miles

I was a lazy girl yestereday, did absolutely nothing productive. About 9 AM drove up the canyon to La Platta met my Dad at the gate and took three long cat naps on a bench near the campfire. We drove over to the beaver ponds to see the little busy guys new work for the year. He has built three new ponds. (I forgot my camera... sorry) Came home and was in bed by 8 PM.
But today we are cleaning house! Time to make the house spit shine. Expecting lots of company Wed, my guess over a 100 people. All long lost relatives. :2thumbs:

Well, think about it. All those artificial sweeteners are bad. Nothing but chemicals.
People are starting to find out that pure sugar isn't all that bad after all. High fructose corn syrup is just a cheaper way to get "sugar". But that good ole' cane sugar, that is the best. Moderation is the key like it is with so many other things. And there is a difference in taste between the chemical ones, HFCS and sugar. Sugar wins :haha:

Ya got any pictures Chere'?? :bootyshake: :ne_nau: :haha:
Someone just phoned me. Of course I was still up, but I don't often get calls at 1:30 in the morning. I didn't recognize the number but on a Saturday night I was afraid it might be a drunk friend needing a ride so I answered. There was a connection but no one spoke. Out of curiosity I googled the number and it's for the Motel 6 in Woods Cross. How odd.
And that's my adventurous Saturday night. Look for the exciting sequel next week when I post about the car that drove by my place...twice! What could it mean? Are they connected? God, I need to get out more or drink less.

Taking a short break from home renovations. (Moved into a new - 40 year old - house 4 weeks ago. Lots of work!)
Starting to plan my next Utah excursion, most of mid-October.
About to head to bed, worked a midnight shift last night, and didn't get much sleep after.
First, though, a quick game of Harbor Master on the iPhone. Totally addictive... Made me move on from Flight Control (the game, not the career!)

Turned a few miles (262) with some buddies this morning. It was a little chilly on US-6 at 7 AM. I had to plug-in and turn the grips on high for a bit. We stopped in Duchesne for some omelettes and then I bolted home in time to help coach my sons soccer game at 1:30. They won 5-1 and I also got my garage cleaned out today. Long post. Good day.

Appears I am developing a nasty cigar habit. After never really enjoying a cigar, I purchased my neighbor a "good" cigar last Saturday. I was able to enjoy one with him and have been taken ever since......
Cannot say how enjoyable I find it to watch the sun go down, while enjoying a fine cigar and drink.
At least the COLD Winter should break me of this new found "issue."

Last night we were in downtown Ogden helping with the Kids Zone and afterwards we went to the Jeff Lowe Mountain Film Festival.
Listend to Steve House talk about his new book and watched an amazing short film on three mt bikers, paraplegics, who biked the White Rim in Moab with their own physical power on One Off Hand Bikes. AMAZING!!!
