Any trial software, such as video converting software that puts "Trial Version" right across the freakin' frame.... :frustrated: :frustrated:

Just let us try it for 14 days already, we'll buy it if it works. Don't F with my file.

I used this program called "textpad" which I totally love. But on one server they had not registered, just left the trial version. When I opened a text file it renamed the file itself to be "please register at www.". Turns out that was the license file which is looked for by an XML file running the CCA software. It checks this file every second and regulates how many people are allowed to be on at a given time. Anyways, because that file got renamed and was not located in the registry, system crashed and took out the unemployment hotline for Minnesota. Which receives around 4-5k inqueries per hour. With all those people sitting on hold and agents not able to answer, the traffic overflowed into DOA and busied out their T1 channels. Ok now I'm getting into to much detail... but lets just say last week the entire state of MN was held up for about 30 mins because of one little POS software that someone forgot to register.
