Clip in - attaching to anchors or belay lines to minimize the consequences of a fall.

Rope Grooves - grooves cut into the rock by canyoneer's ropes, usually while being pulled. Undesirable. Ropes can and should usually be avoided by choosing anchor locations that avoid cutting grooves.

Courtesy Rappel - setting a rappel up from a higher, more convenient location for all but the last person. For the last person, the rappel is set up with the ring "over the edge", for an easier rope pull and to mimimize rope grooves.
