That is lame! Do you guys remember when Maxim got busted releasing a review of the Black Crows new album before anyone there had listened to it?
It really is too bad because reviews are awesome a great tool for consumers but then you have jerks like this that ruin it for the rest of us.

I like the thoroughness of the blogger. Persistent chap. :2thumbs:
Since I already have a valid Amazon.com account, and could use the extra money, I went ahead and signed up. I don't know if I'll participate, since I don't yet know if it will be worth my while, but it sounds interesting. As far as the fraud angle goes, you'd have to be pretty naive to think that this doesn't go on every day, and in every aspect of our lives, not just the internet. It's just the nature of commerce. I will say this: I won't lie for these schills, so I won't be one of those reviewers who never saw the product.

Ever notice on some reviews how there are lots of bad "this sucks" comments and then a few in depth, glowing positive responses?
I always attribute that to someone that is getting something out of the effort. I think most times its an employee of the company.
It works the other way as well.
On the Internet nobody knows you a dog.
