Holland Township family angry that supermarket won't personalize cake for their son
JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell and Adolf Hitler Campbell.
Good names for a trio of toddlers? Heath and Deborah Campbell think so. The Holland Township couple has picked those names and the oldest child, Adolf Hitler Campbell, turns 3 today.
This has given rise to a problem, because the ShopRite supermarket in Greenwich Township has refused to make a cake for young Adolf's birthday.
"We believe the request ... to inscribe a birthday wish to Adolf Hitler is inappropriate," said Karen Meleta, a ShopRite spokeswoman.
The Campbells turned down the market's offer to make a cake with enough room for them to write their own inscription and can't understand what all of the fuss is about.
"ShopRite can't even make a cake for a 3-year-old," said Deborah Campbell, 25, who is Heath's wife of three years and the mother of the children. "That's sad."
Others, such as Anti-Defamation League director Barry Morrison, applauded Shop Rite's decision.
"Might as well put a sign around their (the children's) neck that says bigot, racist, hatemonger," said Morrison. "What's the difference?"
What do you think? Was ShopRite correct for refusing to personalize a cake for the Campbells? Feel free to comment below and take the

Those names are 100% child abuse.
Things like this make me believe you have to past a test to be a parent. Also court ordered castration. (clearly james couldn't see the sarcasm in this statement so I'm tagging it)

I'm on the Shoprite side. Whatever happened to the slogan, "We have the right to refuse service"? Go Shoprite! They did the right thing.
As far as the children are concerned, I personally think social services should step in. With the parents track record of being complete morons, what else is going on in that home? Makes me wonder? :ne_nau: Sick!
What kind of douche bag would do that to a kid? I would like to meet the parents; I'd have words.
And if it were my bakery I would refuse to serve them too.
Why punish the kids, it's not their fault what names they were given at birth :ne_nau:

My dad wanted to name me Adolf after his good friend. But my family kicked the idea out of him. I think I would have enough trouble in school with that first name even though my last is anything by Hitler. Probably would have to play the top Nazi in all pretend wars throughout childhood :roflol:

This is capitalism and I like it. If you do not like what this business has to offer, don't shop there. How many of you had your first and middle names on your cakes growing up? I think these parents are looking for ways to get their kids' names in the news to draw attention to them (which again is wrong). Poor kids. What hope do they have?

Something tells me that not having a crappy, blue Crisco frosted sheet cake isn't going to serve as any form of punishment for this kid. His punishment started 3 years ago.

Again, it's not the kids fault what they're named, so don't take it out on them. They're old enough to understand, they're getting discriminated against  All the other kids get a cake and I don't :ne_nau:

Screw the cake, they can just buy a blank one, then write his name with a tube of frosting for 99 cents (assuming they can actually write). I'm more curious what they are going to pick for their next kids name. People like this tend to be prolific breeders. I'm betting Joe AllJewsMustDieAgruesomeDeath Campbell?
Talk about not giving your kids a chance in life. Where is this kids going to work? How will they integrate into society? Reasons like this are why I would support a selective breeding program for the human race. We cant remove the stupid gene, but maybe keep it at bay for another couple hundred years.
JP: I totally agree the child is an innocent. But with a name like that, he's going to have to get a "hard skin" real quick. I'm a big fan of punishing the parents though and a slight inconvenience getting a birthday cake doesn't even come close to what I've in mind.

Actually the store told them they won't personalize the cake out but will bake them a cake large enough for the parents to write on. The parents refused the service.
They did find a bakery that will personalize it for them. Wal-Mart
Edit: In the below news article the father trys to claim they're normal tolorant people. But in the first news link it had pictures of the home that was decorated in racist imagery.

I AGREE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now that angel has a chance of flying. :lol8:
Regarding the children.....we just have to hope for the best. That one day these children will see the error of his parents horrible intentions. Let's hope these children can break the disgusting mold these parents have started.....And maybe one day, these children will legally be able to change their own names as adults and be productive and successful members of society? My fear is that the children aren't only being exposed to horrible names and beliefs, but that there's other abuse going on in this home. :frustrated:

Amen to that...who puts their kids first AND middle name on a birthday cake? They were just looking for trouble/attention/whatever.

Not with a name like that he isn't. That poor kid is having the stage set for alot of sh*t to reign down on him one way or another, and his parent's are ignorant retards. He's either going to grow up and disown his parents, or he's going to perpetuate the racism and bigotry that his parents are instilling at home, or he'll fall somewhere inbetween. But by throwing those two names together they've set the stage for that kid.
Loser parent's perpetuating their stupidity on down the line...like so many other parents have done and will continue to do. Tsk tsk.
Off topic of the kids name, but not the subject matter, I watched a really cool movie last night called Romper Stomper. It stars Russell Crowe, and I think it's his break out film. Anyhow, very good flick which delves into the whole skinhead scene. And GIIIIIRLS ~ there's a scene where Russell is walking around in his daks and he is steaming HOT! :2thumbs:

Yeah, I think I'd have to agree here. Even though this kid is only 3 his parents are already teaching him hate and racism. I'll bet he is already spouting off racial slurs and the works. It's not his fault but his innocence has already been taken from him by his LOSER so called parents. He's more than likely destined for a life of hate.
Sad! So very sad.

Whatever excuse they found to take the kids, I'm glad for it. Not if only I had faith in the foster child system, this would be a happy ending.

Parents of 'Adolf Hitler' Lose Custody of Newborn
By Alyssa Newcomb | ABC News Blogs (http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/) – 12 hrs ago
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/abc-blogs/parents-adolf-hitler-lose-custody-newborn-020633900.html
Heath and Deborah Campbell, the New Jersey parents of three children with Nazi-inspired names, lost custody of their fourth child 17 hours after he was born, the Express-Times of Lehigh Valley, Pa., reported.
Hons Campbell was taken into custody by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services late Thursday night after the doctor who delivered the baby called the agency, the paper reported.
“There’s no legal binding court order. It’s basically a kidnapping, but they use different terms,” Heath Campbell told the Express-Times.
The Campbell family stepped into the spotlight in December 2008 when a ShopRite grovery store declined to decorate a birthday cake for their son Adolf Hitler Campbell’s third birthday.
The state took custody of Adolf, along with his sisters JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Himler Jeannie Campbell, in January of 2009. The three children have remained in foster care ever since.
A DYFS spokesperson told ABCNews.com in 2009 that she could not comment on a specific case, but said children are only taken into custody if there is a suspicion of abuse or neglect.
“We would never remove a child simply based on their name,” the spokeswoman said.
Neighbor Lori Dilts told ABCNews.com at the time the children were taken that it was certainly not because of their names.
“Those children look outwardly healthy, but they didn’t have much freedom,” Dilts said. “Occasionally, the little boy would come over here and would hate having to go back to his house.”
The couple’s attorney, Pasquale Giannetta, told The Associated Press that a court a hearing has been scheduled for Monday to determine the custody status of the newborn.

Anybody here ever read Mein Kampf?
I'm NOT condoning Hitler's actions nor the actions of Nazi Germany, but there are understandable reasons why Hitler and Nazi Germany did what they did. Food for thought...
