You know about the Bicentennial Highway UT 95 from Blanding to Hite? Then you also know the road cut through the Comb Ridge. The blazed a mighty kerf through the rock to build the road.
Have you ever asked yourself what existed before 1976, the year the new highway was opened?
There was an old Route 95 crossing the Comb Ridge. Three and a half miles to the north of the new 95 the oldtymers blazed their way down the cliff. No exactly like Hole in the Rock, but a bit scary too, especially in winter
