HA! So I am officially back and fighting some jet lag but I had SUCH an awesome time. Below is the highlight of the trip. The Balinese people have a reason for EVERYTHING. I like their way of thinking. So after this monkey got done pissing down my leg and allover my shorts, everyone got a good laugh and the locals said to me, "Male monkey pee on woman means woman will have many male admirers. Good luck for you." :roflol: Hope you guys laugh as much as I did when I saw these photos.
Nothing like getting peed on :lol8:
People pay a lot of money for action like that... :roflol: :roflol:

Welcome home!
Gosh.....nothing like wearing a pair of good ol' monkey pee-soaked pants in a hot, humid climate. :help: Hopefully you didn't have to get back on a tour bus! I would think that the additional male admirers don't come around until after you've changed your clothing! :haha:
The pictures are really cute though - looking forward to seeing more from your trip. :2thumbs:

Really cool pictures Alison and one heck of a story to tell people. If I ever spend the money and 24 hours flying to Bali I wanna make sure the damn monkey pees on me too. It makes for a great photo opportunity. Plus I imagine monkeys only eat fruits so the pee smell can't be that bad, probably frutti :roflol: Anyway, welcome back Alison and I look forward to more pics and stories.

The look on your face in both pictures is priceless! :roflol: :roflol: :roflol:
UGH to monkey pee!
Aren't you glad that "males" of the non-monkey variety don't do "that" to show their admiration?????
I'm pretty sure I'd turn gay if that were the case!
I LOVE these pictures! :2thumbs:

I'm here, I'm here!! Over the last couple of months, I've just had so much going on with personal commitments so it left me limited time to toodle around on the web. But I am here!! Thank you for the compliments on my photo. HEHE! It was pretty freakin hysterical even though I had to run around in damp shorts all day. Blech! :haha: :lol8:

Both your and his (monkey) expressions are priceless! Did you two have to reherse this and how many takes were there?!
I get the feeling that this monkey knew exactly what he was up to! :lol8:
Thanks for the smile of the day that will last a REAL long time! :five:

YOU ARE SO WELCOME! It was one of the MOST unexpected events ever in my life. Out of the blue, he ran up and climbed up my shoulder so this prompted me to sit down on the steps where he proceeded to make his way down to my lap and do his business. I was SO THANKFUL he didn't do the number 2 on me. HAHA!!!! :lol8:

I was walking through the Zoo/Gardens in Singapore when a monkey strolled up, reached up and grabbed my hand and walked around with me for about 5 minutes.
It was fun for the first few minutes but then I started wondering if he would get PO'd if I made him let go. About the time I figured I'd had enough he got bored and left.
Monkeys and crazy people are drawn to me.

Redman- Sounds like you and I have a lot in common with the crazies and monkeys. HEHE! I feel the same way. And YES it was like when I felt the dude peeing down my leg, I was too afraid to bat him off my lap b/c I was afraid he'd bite me. So that's why I look so petrified.
Singapore zoo is BEAUTIFUL! What a fabulous Zoo. We went there on this trip as well. :2thumbs:

Thats too funny. I'm drinking tea from a Raffles hotel cup right now.
I have a plan to visit the seven ancient capitals of Thailand someday.
I'm sure I'll have a full on Entrourage of crazies and monkeys by the end of that trip.
I have a rule with monkeys and crazies, no sudden movements, loud noises or expressions of anger. They never react well.

FWIW this is a bar I had made in Thailand on a trip.
The carvings are full relief.
The close up is the Monkey General!
He's a big deal, hence the whole monkey thing.

Now that is too funny!!! And how much did you pay for the mug should be the question? Is it bone china? Holy moly The Raffles is SO expensive. Hey man, my mission is to always come back with some story at the end of a good trip. So if it means being stalked by a crazie or a monkey to throw poop in my face, then at least I know I have some great stories to share in the nursing home one day. :2thumbs: BTW- My tab for two drinks at The Raffles is below.
Can you pack me in your backpack when you head to Thailand? That sounds like such an adventure!

Thanks, its amazing. It folds out into this huge bar, holds much more booze than anyone should own. A cool rotating glass holder is inside.
Its fantastic what you find on the backroads in Thailand. It took many months to be built and shipped.
I managed to spend quite a bit of time at the Raffles on other peoples money. The cabana rooms are sweet.
The cups were a token of appreciation. Not sure I would have sprung for them.
Last time I was there was for a small party. Something like 1500 of us. Imagine that tab!
I could live in Singapore for a while. Almost had offices there once. So close.
If you get to Bangkok I can recommend a great tour guide. He will explain the whole Monkey King / Ramayana epic and the Rama Kings.
Its all written on the murals on the palace walls.
