Football is nearly done for me this year. We finished our regular season with a record of 5-3. We qualified for the playoffs (top 4 teams qualify) and were eliminated in the first round.

I've never coached so hard in my life. Our team was below average in size and we had no speed. The best player on our team (starting Tailback and Linebacker) broke his arm at our first scrimmage. He returned to the team about mid-season but he played with a brace the rest of the year and was not the same aggressive monster after the injury.

As much as I hated losing and not successfully defending our conference title from 2007 I was actually pretty happy to finish the season with a winning record and make it to the playoffs. Considering the talent we had on the team I think we had a very successful season.

For anyone going to the Utah-TCU game Thursday night you can see my team. They will be dressed in their Dark Blue Juan Diego jerseys and they will be escorting the undefeated Utah team on the "Ute Walk", the team will be down on the field with the Utes during warm-ups before the game.

Below is a picture of my daughter Stormy who is the teams starting Flanker and Cornerback. She has the unique distinction of being the only female player in the Conference.

Go Utes! BYU Sucks!

It must really suck for the boys when they get their asses whooped by a girl, heh. Very bad for their self-esteem :roflol:

Honestly she is one of the better players in the league. She has played since first grade and is usually one of the fastest players on the field. This year she was the fastest player on our team.... in football speed kills... and you can't teach speed....

Sometimes its pretty fun.... at one game our team could hear the opposing coach screaming at his team during half time.... "that girl is stomping the snot out of you guys! Shut her down!" in that particular game she had two TD's and had intercepted two pass in the first half. It was probably her best game of the year.

Some of the players on our team have been together for 7 years, so to them the novelty of "the girl" has worn off and she is just anther player.

My team was very worried about wearing their team colors to escort the Ute's before Thursday's UTAH/TCU game... but since they heard it was a "Black Out" they are happy. The best thing about coaching for a Catholic School is we don't have any BYU fans on the team.

I think she really owes #55 a big thank you for that TD. If you look in picture #1 you can see #55 taking aim on one of the purple guys. In picture #2 you can see the purple guy smashed to the ground in the edge of the picture.

I love teaching kids to beat the snot out of other kids. :lol8:

Cool pics and good for her.

You hear anything about other players or other teams giving some shit about her being a girl? Or is she well accepted?

I've coached kids for years and it is pretty fun to see them get into it so much and enjoy it.
