Does anyone else have a BD icon headlamp? I bought one last year and I've used it a bunch. It throws a lot of light and works great. The only problem is that when I use the optional battery pack they sell, it drains incredibly fast. Even standard store bought batteries work much longer. When I say incredibly fast, I mean I get about a couple hours tops. And that's not using the big 3 watt LED. That one only gives me maybe 45 min. Has anyone else had the same experience or do I have a defective battery?

It's really frustrating so I'd like to know.

Thanks,

Austin

Nope, I haven't used that one. I remember liking my princeton better than your BD though.

Just rub it in why don't yah. There is an interesting thread here comparing them (if you are a real headlight guru).

It seems to hint that the icon has better life and it doesn't heat up. But, obviously I haven't experienced the longer life...at least with the battery pack. Seems to do ok on std batteries...
