Do any of you guys know if there are any photo editing freewares with the option to turn photo b&w with the exception of eyes, for example? If not, what tools in photoshop do I use to do that? Thanks a bunch :-) Sorry for calling you geeks!, heh. :roflol:

Guess I should add it is like Adobe Photo Shop. There is also an online forum that helps you get the hang of it. It is my next playtoy as soon as I get my data base working the way I want. I can't wait to play with it and use it for scrapbooking.

Best part is it is free!

Hey Kapitan! I like Picasa (thanks to Bogley-ites recommending).

http://picasa.google.com/

You can get an online account but then download the application (Picasa 3) for your desktop. It has all KINDS of fun editing tools. :2thumbs: Good luck!

(easy editing tools compared to Photoshop) :2thumbs:

are you saying that you have photoshop.. then just use the select tool and go around the eyes then select inverse. go to "create a new fill or adjustment layer and select b&w.

if not then get gimp and do it.

I've been playing with gimp and there are lots of really great tutorials out there for it. I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple tutorials that describe the process of adding selected color to b&w pics.

No :haha:

If he has Photoshop Elements, I did this for him  Then all he has to do is put the bw copy over the color and erase :haha:

I have 7.0 and you can do it...Unfortunately my desktop is in need of some overhauling so I cannot show you that now. Elements is on my laptop :haha:

Guess I have to play around with it. But how can I do that when the new Fifa Football Manager is coming out! And by football I mean the real sport, where you run, dribble the ball, and score a goal from a volley, right into the back of the net! Not that ass touching other sport :haha: J/K

I'd look at the layers tab in that as well. The same functions maybe there, I just cannot remember. Take a pic, make it B&W and save it. Then you bring up the original and the B&W and you put the B&W over the top of the original and use your eraser tool for the areas you want to be in color :2thumbs:
