Larry and Alcatraz

I'm heading to the roost this weekend and was hoping to get some recent info on conditions for Alcatraz and Larry canyon, specifically water levels or any difficulties that may not be covered in the beta on the internet.

Larry is basically dry, except for one small pool (ankle deep) at the end of the second mandatory rappel (might be your third if you rap the first drop). One of us stemmed over the pool. Watch out for the baby rattlesnake at the end of the slot (see the other post). We had to climb around it.

If you do rappel the entrance drop, I'd suggest taking off your harness afterwards so it doesn't get thrashed. The next rappel is a ways after. We only found it neccessary to rappel two drops.
