Did my first hike in 5 weeks. The West Rim Zion from the top down. Got a call saturday with an invite to hike Kolob Creek with Randi and others, but just "plain" hiking was enough for now. Thanks for the invite anyway Randi! Jan and I had a very fun time as we didn't rush; started hiking around 9 AM, I only fell twice and didn't reinjure my shoulder, and got down to Oscars for a nice meal. Ran in to Courtney and DB at Oscars and had a fun time meeting and socializing with Kev "Cirrus2000".

2 fatalities in Zion this weekend? :ne_nau: Climber on Touchstone and motorcycle accident on KT Road! Dang! Sad Deal!

Dang, we missed you guys. We came out of Kolob about sunset, didn't make it back into Springdale in time.

Well heck! It would have been fun to meet you in person! Were you with Randi and group? If not, you must have run into them anyways? I got back up to my SUV at the west Rim Trailhead at probably around dark last night too. I saw only one other vehicle parked there when I came back for my blue Pathfinder.

How was Kolob Creek? Was it flowing pretty good?
Can't wait to see some of your fantastic pictures!

Yeah, I was with Randi and Matt. We were hoping to make it out to Springdale, but we ended up horsing around a bit too much...
