Does your employer have a halloween costume contest or do people dress up? What do you do and what do your kids wear? What do you have planned in general and whatnot? We'll have to dig up some threads from last year.

My peeps at work are thinking about dressing as dog the bounty hunter and his posse. Of course that would include Pam. :roflol:

Seriously, Scott REALLY wants to know what we are all doing for Halloween so before we end up in the rubbish bin, let's talk about our plans. Mine are simple these days. After having kids, Halloween no longer pertains to the adults. It's all about taking the kiddos trick or treating, getting their costumes put together etc...... but my husband likes to lurk in the bushes and scare the hell out of the kids that walk up to our door. He's so mean that way. :lol8:

I will be working. I got my son a cool costume. Maybe I should have let his mom worry about halloween, but its what he wanted.

My people don't celebrate Halloween. Instead, on All Saints Day, November 1, we traditionally visit the graves of our family members, friends, national heroes. Scouts and school children visit and clean graves of fallen soldiers, Polish, Russian, German, it does not matter. Families clean the graves of their relatives, light candles, place flowers, and pray for their souls. I think it's a really moving celebration, the last one that has managed to defend itself against commercialism. And here's a few photos of how it looks like by night:

This is what I want to do. How this guy does it isn't for sale and a lot of cheap knock offs that don't look nearly as good. Any other hobby magicians in here?

Yeah.. not much into Halloween. No kids, so no big deal. I'm not the dress up kind of person. I do love looking at other people's costumes though - I get a kick out of what people come up with! Sooo creative!!!

I'm a teacher, so I've gotta dress up as something (school doesn't make us, just know the kids love it).

Deciding between Nacho Libre (the monk version, not stretchy pants)
Steve from Blues clues since all the kids tell my I look like him anyway
Dwight from the Office

Other ideas?

We gotta find the last pawprint,
That's the third clue! We put it in our
notebook 'cause they're Blue's clues... who's
clues? Blue's clues! You know what to do!
Sit down in our thinking chair and think... think... thi-i-ink!
Cause when we use our minds and take a step at a time,
We can do any THING... that we wanna do!

We do a little haunted house for the trick or treaters.
This year we're doing a Haunted Mansion themed one. Last year we did Pirates

Dale Price, owner of Pegleg Paintball, has the most over the top house I have ever seen for halloween. If you go there the weekend of, you can probably find them watching a movie outside for anyone who wants to come. The man is crazy about halloween. This is two years ago and he has added to it since.

Costume is in the mail. Now I just need to find a party to wear it to...

I'll watch the City Weekly for ads, but who has a tip on the cool Halloween club this year?

I think it is in American fork or Cedar Hills area.
The funny thing is that he has a real pegleg. He loves to show it to my little girls when I go into one of his stores and tell them that he is a pirate, even in the middle of summer and nowhere near Halloween time. Then they will see him in the store and say "Mom, there is that pirate!"

In American Fork, take the road next to costco headed north. At the next intersection turn right and then turn right again doubling back into a newer development. Can't miss it.
