Ok - I've already posted this in the hunting section but it warrants a second posting. I ran into this bad boy on my morning ride along the Green River...right in town! I actually got a tip from the fish & game just minutes before that he had been sighted so I wasn't completely unprepared but he startled me when I came up on him...

I nearly got run over by a big bull moose in American Fork Canyon on Saturday. I came around a blind corner in a deep, wooded area, and there it was- about 10 feet off the trail. It then ran right in front of me across the trail. Scared the bejeebers outta me! One of the biggest bulls I've seen up there in awhile.

It is a good thing he didnt have a gun. There is nothing that I love more than putting a bullet right between the eyes of that there moosey. ( :roll: )

That way, the very subject of the beauty and serenity that we are admiring here in this thread will be gone so that others will not have that opportunity.
