i thought i was the only one. good to see there's someone else out there that thought that was a great movie. I didn't think Hans Solo was in it though.

The dove shot first.

Edit reason: It was late, I was tired. The word shot was only needed once.

Yeah, a stupid movie by all standards but yet so fun to watch. Must leech.

The dove shot shot first.

say what?

It's a Star Wars geek thing. When George Lucas remastered the original SW movies a few years ago he changed a scene in which Han shoots a bounty hunter under the table in the cantina by digitally adding a first shot coming from the bounty hunter. This dramatically changes the character of Han Solo by turning the act of a ruthless (bounty hunter murdering) smuggler into an act of self defense.
So, even though we can

Uh, Han Solo is right handed.

I believe all he needed to say was

"He's coming right for us!"

See there is the problem...I LOVE Star Wars.....but i dont own the remastered copies... i thought it was fine the first time through and didnt appreciate his changes. So when I watch them and I do frequently, its the old old ones.

Not fond of Episode I or II but I did like III.

now i need popcorn and my movies...time for a han solo fix

Oh, you are a beautiful woman. :nomystery:

I thought the dove shooting first comment was funny anyway. I didn't even know the factoid of Lucas' shameful bastard lovechild remix until you explained it... because I never watched the altered versions.

Long live the originals...As the universe received them. :2thumbs:

yeah but it was pretty darn cool to see the remixes on the bigscreen :hail2thechief:

i remember seeing 'empire strikes back' on the big screen back in the day. i was young and blown away

some of my fondest memories growing up are of Star Wars

i had the sheets... a couple of posters... t-shirts...i still have two of our star wars figures burried somewhere in my basement with the rest of my momentos C3PO is one of them, the other one i think is one of the characters from the bar scene

all three of the new ones came out the week of my birthday... Lucas's gift to me... and of course I went and saw them opening weekend

i finally bought a nintendo game cube two x-mas's ago just so i could have the lego star wars game (it is the only gaming machine we have)

going to see the movies was the only way my mom could get my brother and i to quit crying after we dropped my dad off at the airport when he travled for work which was frequently

i still have a top sheet and a pillow case with the empire strikes back imagery on it. i stupidly used the fitted sheet for an art project in high school http://www.xs4all.nl/~ernstmul/images/yahoo/34.gif
