Does anybody know a Linda who has lost her blackberry going up Mount Olympus yesterday? We've met her today on the trail looking for it. About 10 minutes from the top I saw something plastic and I knew I found it. I want to get it back to her but there's no contacts on the phone, just the number of the phone but can't look it up. I thought maybe she's a Bogley lady or maybe someone here knows her. Anyway, I'm gonna to to a Verizon place tomorrow to track her down. But if you got any leads, let me know. By the way, I conquered Mt Olympus and my legs are killing me.

Good for you on both counts; being a good Samaritan and for feeling the burn of an excellent hike!

Nothing makes you feel alive like doing something strenuous and with (or against) nature!

Did she have permission to lose it there?

Thanks, it is quite a hike for a big guy like me, heh. Ran out of water near the end but that was fairly close to trail head. I got 2 blisters on each of my feet, heh.

Thankfully I found it and prevented environmental disaster, heh. But seriously, it's like a needle in a haystack.

I returned the phone to a Verizon Wireless location. Today I received word that the owner and the phone are together once more :2thumbs:

Way to go. I'm glad you got to it before the battery started to leak and taint the ground water in the entire region. :2thumbs:

Yeah, I should receive a commendation or something, heh. Oh yeah, she's sending a "thank you" gift.

Yep, so please disregard my earlier story about jumpstarting a car and damaged windshield fluid tubes and how you should not help your fellow man (or a woman). :2thumbs:

Right on, Kapitan! :2thumbs: That was cool of her to give you a reward - very generous!

I found a brand new Blackberry in the parking lot of a movie theater in West Jordan a couple years ago. It was still powered 'ON', but had no info in it - that's how NEW it was.

I got in touch with the phone company and they tracked down the new owner by the serial number. She called me a day later and we met up so I could return the Blackberry to her. My "reward" from her was a business card from her husband's mortgage company. "Call us if and we'll give you a good deal on a mortgage!" as she drove away.

Um, yeah.......

Yep, I almost feel like I have to send her a thank you note now, heh. But I don't have the address so tough luck, heh. :naughty:
