I don't know PA law, but I know this would never stick here in Utah.
Open carry is LEGAL for anybody, as long as there is not a bullet in the chabmer, but if you are a CCW holder than you CAN carry a loaded weapon on your side if you choose .
LEBANON, Pa. (AP) - Officials in Pennsylvania have revoked a woman's concealed-weapons permit because other parents complained that she was carrying her loaded handgun at her daughter's soccer games. Meleanie Hain said she's fighting the revocation by the Lebanon County sheriff.
Hain lost the permit and got a warning from local soccer officials after a game on Sept. 11.
Sheriff Michael DeLeo says openly carrying a weapon to a youth soccer match shows a lack of judgment.
Hain tells the Lebanon Daily News she's always openly carried a firearm without any problems in the past.
And her lawyer _ Robert Magee _ says that while Pennsylvania requires a permit for a concealed firearm, it doesn't require a license to carry one openly except in Philadelphia.

As I've always said: "An Armed Society is a Polite Society".
When did individual municipalities trump the Constitution?
Also, the Supreme Court recently ruled that the right to bear arms does extend to the average citizen, and not just a "Militia".

not sure how that follows.
not sure how that follows.
Of course, you hate guns.
She'll be getting her permit back. And she'll head right back to those games with that concealed weapon. Just because a few "Soccer Moms" whined, it never should came to that. Oh yea, she'll be getting it back and a lawsuit to boot.

yer graph there, beech, i has one of dem loops in it. that just dun't make good sense.
i just think polite is the wrong term and it doesn't even work as a play on the well known term "polite society."
someone can call you an asshole and you have no right to use your gun.

I will agree that she is an idiot. I don't see the need to display a handgun at a soccer game. She has the right to carry it, it's just a little smarter to not make it known to everybody.
It's legal, but so are the consequences of getting a double take stare. She'll end up winning legally, but will probably socially lose.
On the other hand, it's not wise to call somebody like this an asshole. If they shoot you, sure, they'll go to prison. But after you're dead, at least you proved a point, right? Die for the cause.

Does anybody find it a little ironic that by taking away her concealed permit, they are essentially forcing her to carry openly, just like she was in the first place?!?!?!?
Bunch a' maroons. Open carry is legal and totally within your right to do so. I, however, feel that I lose a tactical advantage by carrying openly.

Yes.
In every nook and cranny of any gun ban, you will find outstanding irony.
Criminals shoot unarmed masses, so let's make a LAW... yes, I said law, to ban the LAW ABIDING citizens the use of their own means of defense.
And there are complete JACKASSES out there who think the criminals will be discouraged from bringing their guns into these places.
But this goes much further than irony.
Make a law saying it's illegal to kill people in malls. Maybe that's what we're missing.

Just after the Columbine shooting a left-wing news-type stuck a microphone in the face of the local Sheriff. They asked if he though that a ban on guns would've averted the tragedy. The reporter's biggest mistake was asking the question live on the radio. The Sheriff's response was priceless. He was lucky to get the whole sentence out before he was cut off. His words were, "Last time I checked murder was still illegal."
