Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum but thought I would post this.
A couple friends and I are going to southern Utah tomorrow and will be making our way to AF canyon by Saturday night then spend a couple days up there.
I have a mini camera in my jeep that I setup a while back to take time lapse videos of trips. I have modified the system and made it upload a picture to my server in Provo every 5 minutes (as long as I have a cell phone signal for internet)
If any of you are interested, you can visit at http://jeepcam.nukernet.com
It should be interesting, but this is my first attempt at this.
My next task if this works correctly is to post my GPS lat/lon to my server and have a map showing a tick mark of where I was and do that every 5 minutes as well.
Let me know what your thoughts are on this. I am interesting in ideas and/or feedback.

Cool idea.

AF Canyon will be packed with volunteers on Saturday for National Public Lands Day.

Great idea. Pretty interesting as well. When you get back, be sure to tell us all about it in the Off Road 4x4 (clicky) (http://www.bogley.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=11) section :2thumbs:

It should be interesting, but this is my first attempt at this.

If you put the camera on your jeep then rode with your buddy we may not get the best shots of the trip :ne_nau: :haha:

I think this will be very cool when it is working :2thumbs:

I work with bugnuker and called him yesterday when it wasn't working. He is working on the problem but was perplexed. I was looking forward to seeing him drive over Gemini Bridges!

Better do it now. It will be illegal next week thanks to the new RMP.

Well, the jeep cam worked at my appartment.
Then, i went to get ICE and my AC inverter crapped on me.
The trip was great. I'll be posting some pics soon.
Broke the xfer case and front differantial in the jeep :D
Its in the shop, no more fun for a while I guess. Until then, enjoy this youtube video I posted last year with the jeepcam

Cool vid :haha:

How in the world did you break the NP231? Did you slam your front axle into something that didn't move causing that chain reaction to the NP231 causing the housing to break :ne_nau: Or did you land on that unprotected 231 :haha:
