I'm wondering what cameras have enough flash power to take shots in slot canyons? Anybody have a waterproof camera that can do this? Thanks!

I have an Olympus 770sw. It works great for slots. (It isn't a professional camera but it works well for me, and I never have to worry about it in the slots)

Because of the geometry of slot canyons, flash is almost always relegated to the last resort. Light falls off from a flash, any flash no matter how powerful, according to the inverse square law, which means that the walls or other objects close to the camera will be bright and the walls farther way with get dark very rapidly (each time you double the distance, objects will be four times darker.) For most slot canyons, a better choice is a combination of fast lenses (like f/2 or f/2.8) and cameras with good high-ISO performance.
