Does anyone have any suggestions where to camp near capitol reef? I am looking for a primitive camp spot on BLM land or something similar for one night.

Thanks in advance.

There are a number of good sites a couple of miles east of Torrey, on the way towards Capitol Reef. Before entering the Park, near mile post 73 (or maybe 72?) there is a dirt road that goes off to the left. There are a number of good sites here. This is the same as the trailhead for Pandora's Box.

Fruita is not so primitive, but it's a nice place to camp. Get some chow and the Capitol Reef Inn/Cafe while you're down there. Good folks.

Thanks for the replies.

Since we are planning on doing Pandora's Box, having camping available along the road to the trailhead is just what we are looking for.
