Figure it was a good 21 miles of hiking.

You can click to 3 other videos from the hike from vimeo as well.

Hit the trailhead just outside of Alta, WY @ 7:15 and arrived back at car @ 4:30 that afternoon. We went up the canyon then past basin lakes up to Mt. Meeks and took the high trail back to Devils Staircase and then out. Wish there had been more snow as it would have made things even more beautiful. If you want to go toe to toe with Moose this would be a good place as we saw lots of them. Took 1 minute of hiking to see our first 2 moose.

Thanks for posting. I spent some time in Victor, ID last year, not far from your trail.

Wow, cool area. I have wanted to get to the Alaska Basin for many years and never seem to get closer than Static Peak Divide. Maybe next year!

That area is very cool. We were up to Table Mountain a few years ago on July 4th. The rivers were running quite high still. I believe the second photo is looking in to Alaska Basin on the right.

Also attaching a photo of someone's dog that was on the peak. I thought it was a cool photo because 'Monte' was looking right at me. My camera back then had a delay after pressing the shutter, the photo you see is the result. My sense of humor tells me that I should make you all see what was burned in to my eyes on that fateful day. Sorry to all. Monte you son of a b#$&.
