Been a while sense I have had a good internet connection! The wife and I are making our way from the Canada border to the Mexican boarder riding our mountain bikes.

Figured we would just drop in and say Hi while we have internet access. :D

Pic from the trail, headed towards Glacier:

That's really cool! Most people only dream of doing stuff like that.

I'm surprised there's a continuous non-interstate route that connects Canada to Mexico (its illegal to ride bikes on the shoulder of any interstate).

6 miles on an Interstate (out of 2500 or so...), no other options, totally legal. :D

Enjoyed reading your blog! That's one great adventure you two are on.

I had a friend, Jon, who solo hiked the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) after graduation from high school. From the US/Mexico border near San Diego to the US/Canadian border in Washington - all 2,650 miles of it. Took him 6 months, and after he got home we sat and looked through all of his photos, journals, etc. I was envious.

I wish you safety on your trek, and yes - you WILL remember your trip for the rest of your days! Good luck w/ the remainder of your journey. :2thumbs:

Thanks everyone! We have a few cool videos to upload to youtube when we have more time. I'm going to stock up on 2gb SD cards today so I can record the full descents of some of these passes.

Its amazing to drop 4 or 5 thousand feet in one run, sometimes the down hills are 10 miles long... :D
