Hey all,

Got to run a few CO canyons this weekend. Quite a bit of fun. Can't compare the water levels, as this was the first time I had done all three of these canyons; but the current water levels in all three are relatively decent, maybe going towards easy. No dangerous hydraulics; and only in Booth do you have any deep pools where a long rope might be an issue (entanglement) if not set correctly. I found all the water levels to be quite fun; around the 5 cfs mark.

However, the water is very cold. It is all from snowmelt, so I'd recommend 5mm neoprene socks, as well as a decent wetsuit. I was in a 4/3 full with 5mm neoprene socks and was fine; though I run a bit on the warm side so YMMV.

NF Snake had a chain anchor at the main falls, and Booth had two previous anchors - one in the Upper section, and one on the last rap/downclimb. Otherwise, there were no anchors in the canyons; and we cleaned all of ours. Thus, come prepared to create your own anchors.

Pics and TR to come in time...

Hope that helps,
A.J.
