This is hands down my favorite mountain in the Wasatch, this was my fourth time to the summit and it never disappoints. Best scenery once you get past the sagebrush foothills, best view from the peak, and the knife-edge ridge right at the very end is always fun. I love this mountain! Did not see a soul once I hit the Jacobs ladder trail (saw two mountain bikers on the road hike up to the trail) Anyway, here is a link to the gallery with some of them attached to this post.

P.S. An update on the trailhead. Draper has turned the start of the Corner Canyon road into what they call "Trailhead Park" (something like that). The road is open to the start of the Jacob's Ladder Trailhead. They have put up fences over the ATV roads and built a hiking/biking trail that meets up with the old road, you then do the road walk until it turns into the Jacobs Ladder trail just like before. This looks like a permanent resolution to the battles in the past, nice that the road is at least open to the trailhead.

Yea, I got tired of no one being able to go and just woke up Thursday morning and spur of the moment decided to hit it. I would have called you but I didn't decide to do it till about 5:30 am. and was on the mountain around 6:30.

Holy Cow! I have to agree, a most beautiful view!
So how long did it take to do the whole hike?

Started hiking about 6:45 am, got back to the car around 1:50, so pretty close to 7 hours even. I was alone so I hike faster than with others usually but I stopped a fair amount to take pics. It's just shy of 6000 feet of elevation in about 6 miles, so a big climb for sure. Oh and I think I forgot to mention that the stream the trail follows was flowing, VERY lightly but enough to filter. I took 4 liters of water because I know it dries up some years, but could have taken two and refilled along the trail.
