After bagging East Mountain yesterday, I took my little Colorado up the Skyline Trail so we could bag South Tent.

The Skyline Trail was a pretty rough road, rutted pretty bad in some places, but any high clearance vehicle could make it.
Being opening weekend, the entire place was crawling with hunters. Dodging these hunters on their fourwheelers presented yet another obstacle.
We took a spur off the Skyline and was able to park nearly 1/2 mile from the peak at N39 23.530 W111 22.121. When we parked the truck, a young hunter and his sister and mother were getting off of their four wheelers. We asked them if they had seen anything, being sociable, and the mother said in a snotty attitude "He is trying to put the stalk on a deer".
Resisting the urge to hit my panic button on my keychain, we asked which direction they were headed, and told them that we were headed up the opposite direction.
We bushwacked up the side of the mountain, gaining 950' in .8 of a mile to the summit.
