a. Place a diagonal line from the top of the first plus sign "+" to its leftmost point to make it a "4". Then the equation becomes

545+5=550

b. Place a diagonal line through the equal sign to make the equation

5+5+5≠550 ("≠" means 'does not equal')

4. The woman is a photographer.

Thanks. #2 was the most difficult and a bit of a puzzler until you hinted that no math was necessary to solve it. That's a HUGE hint.

I guess no one else wants to guess at the next row of numbers.

So weird how brains work. #1 was the most difficult for me. But I think most people found that the easiest. I had all these elaborate plans and my friend kept replying "no". I put them in the order I thought most difficult, hardest to easiest.
