We were thinking of going camping down by Capitol Reef, but a recent plague of car problems has probably necessitated a change in plans. So I need some suggestions for a closer place (Tuesday through Friday) that A) Would either be first come/first serve or have a high probability of some vacancies, B) have some fun hikes and things to do that don't require four wheel drive, and C) possibly flush type toilets. If you have any suggestions along these lines, I would appreciate it immensely.

Closer to what?

Sorry--I live in the Salt Lake Valley--so closer to that than Capitol Reef is. And flush toilets are a requirement--just nicer for some of us. What we really need is a closer place that's likely to have a couple of tent sites open and that has plenty to do for those without ATVs or 4-wheel drive.

There are probably more, but the only ones I can think of that meet that requirement are Deer Creek and Wasatch Mountain State Parks.

Thanks. I think we've decided to go to Moon Lake.
