So far the storm has missed us, but checkout the forcast for the mountains to the east:

At least around here they are only calling for a 70% chance of snow in the hills.

Of course the snow won't last long as at least in the valleys around here temps are forecasted to by near 90 by monday in the lower elevations and 60's in the mountains.

Amazing. You don't know whether to call it winter's last blast or first blast. What's the cutoff date for that?

I had to work today, but here are some that Kevin Donvan (Summitpost) took today in the mountains east of here:

It's already clearing up nicely, at least over by I-70:

Boy are we opposites! The thought of snow makes my blood boil. Spent a few hours today in the pool, loving the St. George heat!

Great Pics!

JP don't be talking smack about my backyard now (it's not really white crap, it's SNOW).........HAHA!! Yes it is quite unfortunate to know that our summer will be coming to an end soon considering we Coloradans had such a LONG WINTER this past year with virtually NO SPRING. BUT I have to say that the colors will be beautiful and the crisp mornings are addicting. Also making homemade apple pie from scratch and homemade soups are something I miss doing in the summer. :2thumbs:

Just got my first SKI & POWDER magazines of the season in the mail and now this. I so love skiing but this years spring and summer have been way to short. I haven't had nearly enough mountain biking in this year. Not quite ready for the white stuff yet.

I'm a praying for a long Indian Summer. Hopefully until December 24th.

Here in Utah winter could blow in in three weeks. Then again it could stay in the mid-70's 'till December. It's a total crap shoot this time of year. The best bet is to plan a trip to Moab, St. George and/or Lake Powell for the September/October time frame. I'll probably go for George or Moab. There's no way I could round up enough friends to even consider buying gas for a boat.

Awesome pictures. Here's to a good water year.
