This is our 7th Year of hosting a Sept. 11th Tribute hike.
For the past 3 Years I myself a former New York E.M.T. who responded to the World Trade Center have attended.
Each year it gets better. ( time heals all wounds)
this year on Sept 11th. we will meet at the top of 100 North in Farmingtoin GPS COORDS N40 58.926 W111 52.803 (BASECAMP)
for those not interested in the hike or with young children we will have a basecamp set up - Dave will remain there to direct latecomers and chat with those wishing to show support but not interested in the hike itself.
We will be meeting at 6:15 AM at 6:45 we will have a moment of silence (first plane hit)
then a short meet & Greet with group photo
@ 7:03 another moment of silence (second plane hit)
@ 7:05 we will begin heading up the SOUTH Trail to FLAG ROCK.
once on top we will have a meet & greet and everyone can mingle those wishing can talk to me -(yes I do talk about my experiences on 9/11/01) just bear with me if I become emotional or shed a few tears.
then we will return to BASECAMP VIA the NORTH TRAIL.
this will be a complete circuit with no backtracking the way we came in. Will be a great hike.
