I am looking for something simple to allow me to edit video clip lengths and be able to add text to my videos. Any recommendations?

Yeah, if you're going for free software that's already installed on your PC, go Windows Movie Maker.

Mess around with it a bit, it will do 90% of what you need.

Depending on the final application, if you are just putting it on the web; YouTube has a "Remix" feature that sounds like you can edit your uploaded videos. I haven't tried it yet though.

I too will also say Movie Maker since you're looking for something simple.

Adobe for the better stuff, just not that simple :haha:
