A man has been found alive in Little Cottonwood Canyon after being in a river for 16 hours. We don't know what his condition is. We have a crew on the way to the scene and will bring you more information as it becomes available. (KSL News) A man has been found alive in Little Cottonwood Canyon after being in trapped in river for 16 hours. He is near Tanner's Flat.

He is trapped between two boulders, and crews are having a hard time getting him out of the river. We don't know what his condition is.

When he stepped in the water, he lost his footing and was carried downstream.
Ririe managed to grab a hold of a big rock, but in doing so dislodged it. The rock pinned him in waist-deep water.

This was my cousin, Dean Ririe. Bad stuff happens to this guy. I was glad to hear that he was ok.

Maybe he should stay home. Either that, or take a buddy along next time... and EVERY time if he's that unfortunate.
